. I swear to Buddha this thing's rigged. No matter, he reassured himself. There would be other times. He tugged at the beads on his necklace, pacing about through the art studio, gazing at the other artist's works. Many of them were about the three essentials to life, peace, love, and happiness. The war-torn families and Hiroshima victims he painted would be a nice contrast to all this, he figured. Black orbs flicked around the room. There were other nameless people strolling the art museum, he hadn't really felt like talking to them at the moment. Dakho gaped his jaws in a yawn. What time was it? Kind of late, probly. The Korean fished his phone out of the colorful messenger bag, being careful not to disturb his drawings. 9:10 P.M. flashed on the screen in green lettering. I could use some caffiene... He thought about maybe staying up late, doing some painting. ..Yes, yes. Painting would do nicely.[/ul]

Her dark eyes bounced around the museum from one artwork piece to the next, a sigh leaving young Hitomi's lips. Everything is beautiful, but... Nothing. And I mean, nothing is muse inspiring. she thought, heels clicking under her feet as she walked around. There was nothing eye-catching for the half Chinese female. Simply nothing that she saw that didn't somehow relate to the previous piece of art she'd viewed.
"If they put work from someone new in this place.." she mused softly aloud to herself, taking a few steps backward and straight into Dakho. The brunette gasped, swerving around with wide doe spheres. "I'm so sorry." she apologized, reaching out and placing a hand on his shoulder. The woman flashed him an apologetic smile, and added in her sweet voice, "I should watch where I'm walking more around here."
She paused, and soon broke the silence with a gentle giggle, letting her hand fall to her side. "I swear. Sometimes I feel like they pack people in here for viewings like they would sardines."

He studied the woman. She appeared to be an artist herself, and one who actually had some... sense, from listening beforehand. Dakho let a soft chuckle escape his lips. "Yeah, it gets really, really bad on days like today. Good ones for looking at art, that is."Shoving his hands into his pockets, Dakho continued. "I was also hoping that there'd actually be openings, for a change," he cynically rolled his eyes, "I guess you could say I'm an artist of sorts who wants to get his work noticed." One side of the Korean's mouth scrunched up and he nodded.[/ul]

Hitomi smiled brightly once she saw the burst of happiness break out on the Korean's face. Wow. Not exactly the reaction I was expecting, but it's better this way than another. she reminded herself, eyes scanning over the younger Asian. He was cute, and obviously younger than her. Too bad I'm lesbian. she mused silently, an invisible smirk curling in her cranium.
"You're," she started to ask, pointing at the nineteen-year-old, "Are an artist?" A new smile twitched up the corners of his lips, and her heart did a back flip with joy. She'd met many of artists, some famous and some not, but she loved meeting new artists. It gave her a chance to view their work, and hopefully get inspired to do something magnificent. "What's your name, kiddo?
"I'm Hitomi. Hitomi Atayoshi." the twenty-three-year-old introduced herself, sticking out a hand to shake. "Or the artist formally known as Atatomi." She did not sign her work with her real name, but instead, her stage name. Though she often included her initials "H. A." along side of the signature to make sure no other Atatomi's tried to take credit for work they did not envision. "And I believe there is an opening next week."

He gently shook the female's hand. That name, Atatomi, sounded so...familiar. He wrinkled his brow and brought a finger and thumb to his chin. "Sorry, your name sounds.." The lightbulb turned on. "Oh, yeah! I thought I recognized that name. It's an honor."The Korean instantly lit up when he heard the news. "R-really..! Are you serious?" His eyes turned the size of softballs when he heard his name could finally get noticed. All this waiting would pay off! "That'd be like, amazing. I have so much work I want seen," the male gestured to his messenger bag, "I actually had a tough time tryin' to fit 'em all in here, ha ha."[/ul]

"The pleasure is all mine, Dakho." she assured him with a warm smile. This boy was full of life, and this Hitomi liked around him. She could safely say that he could be placed on her list of possible friends. "Aw, aren't you sweet. I'm not that famous to honor someone." However, she was still flattered either way anyone looked at it.
The woman nodded her head, a new smile curling the corners of her mouth, "As serious as a heart attack." I wonder if he'll come. she asked herself. Hitomi brushed some of her hair out of her face, and nodded, "Hopefully you'll get most of that work shown off, then." The twenty-three-year-old paused as he motioned to the messenger bag, orbs following the direction. "You have some with you?" Giggling, her head tilted, "Would you be willing to show me some of this work?"

Shit. The Korean must've forgotten it, he assumed. Oh well. What else did girls like? He had to think fast, they didn't like waiting either. A picture of his boyfriend Namkyu floated into view. Wait. Boys, of course! Why didn't he think of that earlier? He'd just have to make sure she knew Namkyu belonged to him, and not get any funny ideas. Dakho's digits carefully plucked the painting out of the other ones and handed it to the female. "T-that's my boyfriend. I'm gay, you see." Dakho was certainly openly homosexual, and didn't care what people thought of him. Hopefully it wouldn't drive her away, though.[/ul]

Hitomi's slenders digits curled around one of the sides of the painting, holding it out in front of herself to get a better and fuller look at it. She tilted her head some in all different directions to see the art for what it was. The textures, the colors, the figure that was the focal point of muse for the creation. "You are very talented, I see." the woman commented, flicking her gaze over to Dakho and smiling. "I'm surprised none of your works are already being shown in here. Or anywhere else."
She nodded at his explanation, and lightly giggled. "Well, you're boyfriend is rather charming. A strong and strapping young man, but I'm lesbian." Her words were sweet like honey, her face friendly. "Though if I ever went straight you two boys would be of high interest." Taking one more glance at the painting, she carefully handed it back to Dakho and winked.
"How's about you and I go look at some of the other masterpieces, hm? Or get out of here and grab some coffee? Talk muses or something, yeah?"
